WALS Weekly Analytics email authorization

The WALS Weekly Analytics utility requests only the Gmail scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send. It uses that permission solely to send the site owner automated WALS analytics reports. It does not use the Gmail authorization to read, search, modify, delete, or otherwise access Gmail mailbox contents.

Google authorization credentials are used only for this reporting workflow and are not sold or shared with third parties. Google user data is handled only as needed to provide the email-reporting functionality described on this page.

WALS's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Aggregate site analytics

WALS analytics reporting uses aggregate site-usage statistics. The reporting archive does not intentionally retain raw visitor IP addresses, cookies, session IDs, or raw user-agent data.
